Support Engineer will be responsible for assisting and managing remotely
located Web Servers in Windows environment and Application Support for
MachroTech’s Award-Winning on demand eCommerce Solution – GoECart.
|
|
|
|
Position Type: Full Time and Part Time Available
|
|
|
|
Location: Bridgeport, CT
|
|
|
Primary Focus:
- Handle technical support for MachroTech’s premium on demand
e-commerce application “GoECart”.
- Provide operational support to key environments including user account
management, workflow, log analysis, troubleshooting and service optimization.
- Update knowledge base with problem fixes and system knowledge as directed.
- Maintain/Monitor assigned systems within environment to ensure optimal
performance, to determine system upgrade/replacement schedules, and to meet
established Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments.
- Configure and maintain deployment of software on Windows 2000 & 2003 Servers.
- Work with data centers to ensure 99.9% uptime and provide trouble free access.
- Remotely monitor and maintain the existing set of hosted applications and host new instances for new set of clients.
- Research product and technical data for ongoing projects.
- Handle SSL installation, DNS configurations and monitor server backups.
- Coordinate with the Offshore/Remote Support and Sales Teams.

Qualifications:
- Some experience working in IT in an enterprise NT/Win2k environment or Technical Support role Preferred.
- BS degree with Computer Technology emphasis or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience administering 2000, NT 4.0, SQL and IIS preferred.
- Proficiency in Internet protocols & standards such as SMTP, TCP/IP, POP3 and FTP.
- Strong skills in security, network, and internet technologies.
- Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks while under pressure.
- Excellent problem solving skills, along with the ability to work both independently, and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Quick learner, hard working, innovative, ready to take initiative.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
